PPN are just a different league, here’s why... P: Personal - from the moment we enrolled our daughter we have felt like part of an extended family. It is a warm and caring atmosphere, the practitioners all know my daughter even when they haven’t worked in her group. This is because they operate as a true team - caring and supporting each child O: Opportunities - the nursery create opportunities for parents and families to get involved, naming new areas of the nursery, inviting us to suggest ideas for activities or getting involved by delivering a story session. N: New experiences - the team are continually creative with new and different learning activities. I never fail to be amazed by what they come up with next and how they can make learning around things such as self care and sharing so fun T: Taking time - each child has time with practitioners for careful one to one attention, my daughter talks about each of her practitioners telling me what they did with her, what they said and what they shared. My daughter was scared on the steps to the outdoor area and a practitioner got together a cheer squad of children and helpers to encourage her to conquer her fear. That level of time and care is pretty unique! E: Environment - this nursery stood out to us due to the attention to detail. From pictures, to textures to music zones it is a fantastic learning and growing environment. Moving to new premises 12 months ago they have crafted a fabulous outdoor area - a pirate ship, balancing ropes and beams, sandpit and play road are just part of the investment made in creating an outstanding early years experience. L: Leadership - the nursery is led by a strong and caring management team. I love the visible leadership and that everyone gets involved. If you have questions they are answered quickly and personally and they love new ideas. A: Ambitious - the nursery have healthy ambition for each child. They recognise each child is at their own stage and has their own personal journey and I love the bespoke ‘next steps’ we have for our daughter. They explain where her skills or experiences will be developed next and how, they helps us support her too. N: Nutritious - the nursery has a fabulous chef. She creates child friendly twists on meals and I have never seen so many little children eat so well. Healthy snacks, delicious lunches and exposure to new tastes and foods are all helping our daughter try new things. Even little children are encouraged to get and drink water as they need it - I love this legacy of healthy habits they are creating D: Diversity - the nursery embraces and celebrates diversity, my daughter has learnt about different celebrations and cultures. This is exactly what our children need to be fantastic citizens of the future. I feel so happy we found this nursery for my daughter and am certainly delighted to cheer them on in this competition - Team PONTELAND deserve this recognition!
P.P.N is a happy place, beautifully presented well equipped and welcoming. But it is the team of genuine, caring and dedicated people that really make this nursery very special. Wether we've had a bad night, bad day at work or are just having a tough time the genuine welcome they all give and the time for little chats make all of the difference! My daughter has formed amazing bonds with her key workers, she talks about them all of the time and her development is brilliant thanks to their hard work! There is nowhere I'd trust more with the care of my daughter. P.P.N keep doing what you are doing as you are making a big difference to these little people's lives :)
Ponteland Private Nursery is beyond outstanding in their all round approach to the care of the children, this is clear through the above and beyond attitude of every staff member. As a single working Mum of low income, I feel welcomed and supported at all times, they not only provide exceptional care for my son but are always there to support me in any way I need.
Staff are approachable and communicate with parents all the time, children are very content they relate to staff and are happy to learn and play, so obviously feel secure. A very balanced foundation for little people which hopefully will help them with their confidence in whatever they do in their future.
My son has been in nursery setting since being 9 months old. We relocated to Ponteland when he was 2.5 years. The staff at Ponteland have been brilliant in the effort they have made to settle him into the new routine, environment and alongside his new peers. He has been there 6 months and it is like he has been there longer. All staff members from the different rooms know my son and make a fantastic effort to make us both feel welcome. His specific development needs are tailored to include his preferences. Updates are regularly provided to me and they acknowledge the information I share on tapestry. I feel confident leaving my most precious possession (my son) in their care
My daughter is due to leave PPN next week, i can not put in to words how sad this time will be. I just wanted to thank the staff for the consistent care and learning they have provided over the past 3.5 years. I could not of wished for a better start in my daughters life other than her PPN journey. PPN is like a home to home based nursery, full of exciting and interesting activities to keep the children active. All activities are delivered to a high standard and then uploaded to Tapestry (My daughters online journal) for me and our family/friends to personally watch. Its the end of an era. Please do not stop doing what you do best girls- you do the most amazing job every day. Thank you just does not seem enough.
We just wanted to comment on the fantastic care and support our little girl has experienced since joining the nursery. It isn't an exaggeration to say that it has genuinely changed our lives. She wakes up in the morning and excitedly asks "Is it Nursery today?" then bounces in (as do all of her friends). It also means that I can go to work without the awful feeling of guilt and concern that can hang over parents, knowing that she is happy, safe and stimulated by the activities. I also love the home/school reporting system which means that I can see what she has been doing with just a click of a button on my phone. The nursery was recommended by a friend who couldn't speak more highly of the staff and their approach to Early Years practice and I have to say I am in total agreement with her. I'm just so thrilled that she is getting such a positive start to her education.
PPN is an amazing setting and I would not hesitate to recommend it. My 3 year old little boy has been attending since he was 9 months old and absoloutely loves it. The staff provide amazing care to all the children and it is testimony to that care when our little boy asks to go to “school”! Thank you PPN for everything you do!
My work in choosing a nursery for my daughter was over as soon as I set foot through the door in PPN back in 2011. She spent 4 happy years with her PPN family, where she flourished in their nurturing care, and continues to fly high at school, thanks to the excellent start in her education that she received at PPN. I couldn’t contemplate sending my son, who arrived in 2016, anywhere other than PPN so he too has joined the PPN family where he will stay until he starts school. He is happy, well looked after, stimulated, challenged and loved, and I am sure he too will flourish and become a confident and caring child, just like his sister, thanks to the comforting PPN environment and amazing staff.
This is an exemplary nursery. From my first visit I knew that this was the nursery I wanted my little one to go to. All of the staff go above and beyond with the children. I was looking for a home away from home in a nursery and this is it! A very special place and excellent team.
